Ltd was formed after Entrepreneur Secrets
pointed to a huge international market
for management development in government
agencies, local authorities, enterprise
agencies, professional bodies and other
employers both public and private. They
helped us explore a previously untapped
marketplace for training in performance
mentoring which gives clients a broader
perspective, greater awareness, clarity
of purpose, and a better focus. They
showed that for this to be successful,
our training needed to be provided in
ways and for a duration that could be
relatively easily accommodated alongside
the normal activities of the organisation.
In particular, Entrepreneur
Secrets identified major issues such
as the relevance of the training,
and whether this took into account
the context of the different organisations.
They highlighted issues such as the
need to be relevant not only to the
managers, but also to the industry
in which they worked, and at the same
time incorporating the development
of an overall business strategy within
an industry context.
Entrepreneur Secrets
identified a demand for new methods
of learning which were more compact,
easy to understand, and not unduly
onerous. We therefore developed a
management performance training course
unlike any other in that it was straightforward
and simple to use, was written in
everyday language, used visual aids
to get a message across, and covered
all the basic elements that managers
need in order to succeed.
My company now operates
in seven European countries, I have
43 associates and this number is growing
year-on-year, and I am now looking
at developing more web-based interactive
modules for our core training. My
life has changed immeasurably, I work
very flexible hours, travel extensively,
and am my own boss!

| Our
company was founded when information
by Entrepreneur Secrets led us to look
at an untapped market of providing a
report-writing service at a set price
to managers and the lobbying industry.
Until we undertook
this innovative approach, these sectors
traditionally relied on consultancy
companies which would usually prove
very expensive. However, our approach
provided a similar level of quality
but at a competitive price which was,
importantly, fixed, and with reports
being provided in a consistently quick
timeframe.
Personally, my life
has changed completely: I quit my
dead-end office job to work full-time
from home, which also alleviated many
of my child-care problems. I now work
when I want, and employ four other
people - who also work from home -
to help me grow my business. In the
next two years I'll be on course to
pay off my mortgage, and I'm hoping
to move out of the city to give my
daughter a better quality of life.
If the business continues to grow
at its current rate, I will be able
to retire by the time I'm 40.

Ltd. was set up through an idea by Entrepreneur
Secrets. They identified a niche for
a consultancy company in the timber
industry which combined a qualitative
research approach with a quantitative
element, something that was not happening
at the time.
Our business has taken
off with breathtaking speed: we are
Welsh Development Agency (WDA) Timber
II consultants, and have undertaken
a whole raft of projects such as the
Pren Preseli Study for Pembrokeshire;
undertook the South East Wales Woodland
Working Group wood user survey; retained
by the Forestry Commission to develop
the technology transfer of the Sohm
Building system from Austria; and
have been appointed joint venture
partner with Jaakko Poyry Consulting
to undertake mapping and benchmarking
studies, among many other successes.
My quality of life
has been transformed, and I'm now
my own boss and work from home, which
is a large cottage in the country.
I don't have to suffer the daily grind
of work anymore, and I only work on
projects which interest me. I earn
a very good living, have three holidays
a year, which I take whenever I want
to.
